Community Guidelines

Effective: May 13, 2026

SOCIAL is a paid network. Every person here has chosen to be here. These guidelines exist to protect that environment — not to police opinion, but to keep the signal-to-noise ratio high and the experience worth paying for.

The Basics

These rules apply everywhere on SOCIAL — every community, every post, every reply, every live room, every DM.

  • ·Treat other members with basic respect. Disagree loudly; attack nobody.
  • ·One account per person. Sockpuppets and ban evasion accounts are permanently banned.
  • ·A valid, active subscription is required at all times. No free access, no exceptions.
  • ·An invite code from an existing member is required to join. Codes are non-transferable.

Zero-Tolerance Rules

The following result in immediate, permanent account termination without appeal:

  • ·Harassment, threats, or sustained targeting of any individual.
  • ·Hate speech — content that dehumanises people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
  • ·Sexual content involving minors. This will be reported to the relevant authorities.
  • ·Doxxing — publishing private personal information (address, phone, workplace, etc.) without consent.
  • ·Coordinated brigading or importing off-platform drama to attack a member.
  • ·Impersonation of a real person in a way intended to deceive.

Content Rules

  • ·No ragebait, outrage farming, or content designed primarily to provoke emotional reactions.
  • ·No spam — commercial, promotional, or repetitive content posted across multiple communities.
  • ·No NSFW or sexually explicit content in V1.
  • ·No native video uploads. YouTube links are supported with title and link preview only — no embeds, no autoplay.
  • ·No AI-generated content posted as if it were your own original work without disclosure.
  • ·No content that violates applicable law — no piracy links, no illegal marketplace listings.

Politics

Political discussion is permitted only in /s/politics. This is a hard rule, not a suggestion. Posts with political content outside that community will be removed. Repeated violations result in suspension.

The purpose of this rule is not to suppress political views — it is to prevent political arguments from colonising every other space on the network.

Communities

Each member may create one community during beta. As a community owner you are responsible for the content posted within it. Owners who routinely allow rule-breaking content will have their community removed.

  • ·Community slugs must not impersonate brands, public figures, or other communities.
  • ·Communities must have a genuine purpose — placeholder or squatted communities may be reclaimed.
  • ·The owner of /s/politics is the sole exception to standard political content rules; all other communities must remain politics-free.

Ephemeral Content

Posts and live room messages expire 13 hours and 37 minutes after creation. This is a feature, not a bug. Do not screencap and redistribute member content without their permission — the expiry is part of the social contract here.

Inactivity

Accounts inactive for more than 1337 hours enter a staged deletion flow. You will receive an email notification before permanent deletion. Log in at any time to reset the clock.

Moderation

Community owners moderate their own spaces. The SOCIAL team handles platform-level violations. Reports are reviewed by humans — there is no automated removal except for content that matches known illegal material hashes.

Moderation decisions affecting your account will be communicated via email. Bans for zero-tolerance violations are not appealable. Other suspensions may be appealed by emailing support@svpn.com.

Reporting

Use the report button on any post or reply to flag content for review. Reports are confidential. False or bad-faith reports — using the report system to target members you dislike — are themselves a violation of these guidelines.

Changes

These guidelines may be updated. Significant changes will be announced via the notifications system. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
