Truecount
Bluesky's follower number keeps accounts that have since been deactivated, suspended, taken down or deleted. Truecount reads every follow record that points at an account, checks whether each follower is still a live account, and gives you the number that is left.

Dates come from each record's own timestamp key, so a follow shows when it was made, not when it was indexed.
How it works
- Follow records come from Constellation, a public index of every record that links to a target. Several records from one account count once.
- Followers are checked 25 at a time against the Bluesky appview. An account that does not come back is looked up on the relay, which says whether it is deactivated, taken down or deleted. An account the relay reports as active but the appview will not show to logged-out requests is counted as alive.
- Nothing is written anywhere and no login is needed. Everything runs in this page.
